I stayed here for one night and found no problems. The beds were comfortable, staff was helpful, and many accommodations were available. Although I did not use them, a gym, pool, and restaurant were all located in the hotel.
Hotel is nicely laid out, staff is friendly. It has a bar with mini restaurant along with a lot of open space. The room is nicely laid out, relaxing environment. The gym is on the 3rd floor and also has stariwell access to the first floor pool. The gym is small 3 machines and a bench. The pool is in the center of the hotel and had a mellow mood to it. There is no hot tub. I can't hear any noise from adjacent rooms, which is great when sleeping in.
I had to do a lot of work in my hotel room. Literally three nights in a row from 6pm-2am or even to 4am I was working. I was very comfortable working at the provided desk - and the hours upon hours sitting in the provided desk chair. Also, even though there were people about, there wasn't really much noise, which I appreciated. Parking was always close to the entrance. I had plenty of towels. I loved that the fridge was empty and that I could put my things in it (not one of those fridges packed with $12 cans of soda that you're afraid to touch and accidentally get charged for). My bed was also quite comfortable for the few hours that I did get to sleep. I was in a first floor room facing the parking lot and very close to the front entrance. The biggest negative was the water pressure in the shower was waaaay too strong and I couldn't figure out how to lower it. I mean it was painfully strong. It was okay on my head, but too rough on my face...I would have liked to lower it by a good 25-30%. It was the opposite of relaxing
The roomwe stayed in was a beautiful double bed room. All of the accommodations were clean and tidy. The large TV, mini fridge, and microwave made for a very comfortable stay. When our arrangements for transportation to a wedding venue were delayed, the front manager was on the phone making sure everything was in order. They made us feel welcome and comfortable and did us a great favor by making sure our transfer to the wedding went smoothly.
BEDBUGS! I stayed there from the 23rd to the 26th - when I got home, I discovered welts consistent with bedbug bites. Also the hotel charges your credit card $20/day for "incidentals". I used nothing - didn't even turn on the TV. When I called the hotel to inquire about the $60 charge on my card, Molly informed me that it is the bank's policy and that the monies would be put back into my account within a week to ten days. This to me is unreasonable and unethical. The company must make a killing by holding on to people's money for a short duration, investing it, then returning the balance. Never staying here again. The Crown Plaza is less than a mile away. I would advise staying there.
